AAWEA Announces Strategic Partnership with iHub, Beginning with the iHub IBM SkillsBuild NextGen AI Innovation Bootcamp 2026

The Asian American Women Entrepreneurs Association (AAWEA) is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with iHub, an innovation education organization dedicated to preparing the next generation of leaders through artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and real-world experiential learning.

This partnership marks an exciting milestone in AAWEA’s continued evolution as a nonprofit organization committed to building an integrated innovation ecosystem. Beginning with the 2026 iHub IBM SkillsBuild NextGen AI Innovation Bootcamp, AAWEA will serve as the Official Community Outreach Partner, supporting community engagement, student outreach, and awareness-building while laying the foundation for broader long-term collaboration in youth innovation, entrepreneurship, and AI education.

As AI continues to reshape every industry, both organizations believe that preparing future innovators requires more than technical knowledge alone. Students need opportunities to develop creativity, leadership, communication, entrepreneurial thinking, and the confidence to solve real-world challenges. Through this partnership, AAWEA and iHub hope to connect students, families, educators, entrepreneurs, and community leaders around a shared vision of empowering the next generation.

Why This Partnership Matters

Since its founding, AAWEA (Asian American Women Entrepreneurs Association) has been dedicated to empowering Asian American women through entrepreneurship, leadership development, AI education, and community collaboration. Over the years, AAWEA has grown into a nonprofit platform serving more than 1,800 members, hosting over one hundred community programs, workshops, conferences, and educational initiatives throughout the United States.

As AAWEA continues to build an ecosystem centered on Community + AI + Academy + Entrepreneurship, expanding into youth innovation represents a natural and important next step. Innovation is no longer limited to experienced entrepreneurs or established professionals. Today’s students are growing up in an AI-driven world where the ability to think creatively, collaborate across disciplines, and transform ideas into real-world solutions will become one of the most valuable life skills.

At the same time, iHub has established an outstanding platform connecting students with high-quality educational and industry resources through AI learning, project-based experiences, corporate engagement, and leadership development. By combining AAWEA’s entrepreneurial community and family networks with iHub’s educational expertise, the partnership creates new opportunities for students and parents seeking meaningful pathways into AI and innovation.

Our First Collaboration: 2026 iHub IBM SkillsBuild NextGen AI Innovation Bootcamp

The first initiative under this strategic partnership is the 2026 iHub IBM SkillsBuild NextGen AI Innovation Bootcamp, one of iHub’s flagship educational programs designed to introduce students to emerging technologies, innovation thinking, and future career opportunities.

As the Official Community Outreach Partner, AAWEA will work closely with iHub to expand awareness of the program throughout the Asian American community, entrepreneur networks, and parent communities while supporting outreach through its website, newsletter, social media channels, community partnerships, and educational initiatives.

Unlike many traditional summer programs that primarily focus on classroom instruction, the Bootcamp emphasizes experiential learning and real-world application, allowing students to explore how AI technologies are being used across industries while developing practical skills that extend beyond coding alone.

Program highlights include:

  • IBM SkillsBuild learning experience and digital credentials

  • Opening activities connected with the University of Pennsylvania

  • Mentorship from Ivy League students and young professionals

  • Corporate visits and industry exposure

  • AI innovation projects and hands-on teamwork

  • Mini Hackathon experiences

  • Capstone Project Showcase

  • Leadership and presentation training

  • Collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Career exploration and future pathway development

Through these experiences, students are encouraged not only to learn emerging technologies but also to become confident innovators capable of identifying challenges, designing creative solutions, and presenting ideas with clarity and purpose.

Beyond a Bootcamp: Building a Long-Term Innovation Ecosystem

While this collaboration begins with the 2026 Bootcamp, both organizations share a broader vision that extends well beyond a single summer program.

AAWEA and iHub believe that meaningful talent development happens through continuous learning, mentorship, community engagement, and opportunities to apply knowledge in authentic environments. Rather than viewing education as isolated events, both organizations envision a connected innovation ecosystem where students continue growing long after the classroom experience ends.

Subject to the successful completion of the Phase I collaboration, future areas of cooperation may include:

  • Youth AI Innovation Challenges

  • Entrepreneurship education

  • Leadership development programs

  • Internship and mentorship pathways

  • Community innovation events

  • Additional mutually beneficial educational initiatives

Together, AAWEA and iHub hope to create a sustainable platform where education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and community engagement reinforce one another while preparing students for the rapidly changing AI era.

Connecting Learning with Real-World Innovation

One of the most exciting aspects of this partnership is the opportunity to build a continuous innovation journey for participating students.

Following the Bootcamp, outstanding students will be encouraged to continue developing their ideas by participating in the AAWEA AI Youth Innovation Challenge 2026, with the Grand Finale and Awards Ceremony scheduled for September 27, 2026.

Rather than treating the Bootcamp as a standalone educational experience, both organizations envision a pathway where students continue strengthening their innovation capabilities through project development, mentorship, public presentations, and community engagement.

The Challenge will encourage students to explore how artificial intelligence can solve real-world problems across multiple themes, including:

  • AI Business & Entrepreneurship

  • AI Healthcare & Wellness

  • AI Women & Family Impact

  • AI Sports & Lifestyle

Through this progression—from learning, to building, to presenting, to competing—students gain valuable experience that strengthens not only their technical knowledge but also leadership, creativity, teamwork, and entrepreneurial thinking.

Looking Ahead

Artificial Intelligence is transforming how we learn, work, create, and solve problems. Preparing young people for this future requires collaboration across education, industry, entrepreneurship, and community organizations.

The partnership between AAWEA and iHub represents an important step toward building that collaborative ecosystem. By bringing together educational excellence, entrepreneurial experience, community networks, and emerging technology, both organizations hope to create more accessible opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds to discover their potential and become future innovators.

This collaboration also reflects AAWEA’s continued commitment to expanding its impact beyond entrepreneurship by supporting innovation across generations. Empowering women entrepreneurs remains central to AAWEA’s mission, and investing in the next generation of innovators strengthens that mission by helping build a future where families, founders, educators, professionals, and students learn and grow together.

Together, AAWEA and iHub are not simply promoting a Bootcamp. We are taking the first step toward building a long-term innovation ecosystem that connects education, entrepreneurship, technology, and community—creating new pathways for the next generation of AI innovators.
